Matter is pleased to announce the appointment of Jane Harrison as Director and Claire Buttanshaw as Financial Controller.
The appointments will support the continued growth of Matter, adding further industry expertise and operational support to the firm’s existing team of professionals. With specialist knowledge across development, asset management, financing and deep networks throughout Europe, the Matter team takes an operational approach to helping management teams to aggregate real estate assets and build scaled platforms.
As Director, Jane Harrison will form part of Matter’s investment management team, overseeing its portfolio of real estate investments. Jane will focus on building and maintaining relationships with Matter’s portfolio companies across multiple jurisdictions, advising on performance strategies and ensuring business plan objectives are met.
Jane has over 20 years of real estate experience and prior to joining Matter, she was at Prologis UK, Invesco, and Doughty Hanson. At Prologis, she was responsible for leading the acquisition & financing of 1.3m sq. ft. of UK industrial. Jane was also responsible for the asset management of Kings Hill, an 800 acre mixed use garden village in Kent, including a 500,000 sq. ft. business park, a retail area and over 3,500 homes.
Jane started her career at PwC, has a BSc (Hons) in Geography from the University of Bristol and is a member of the ICAEW.
In her role as Financial Controller, Claire Buttanshaw will support Matter’s activities across the accounting, compliance and investor reporting functions. Prior to joining Matter, Claire was part of the Finance and Operations team at Henderson Park, where she gained experience of the private equity real estate market, across both Core+ and Value-add Opportunistic funds. Prior to that Claire spent several years working in the Asset & Wealth Management Assurance Department of PwC Dublin where she gained audit experience, in both Ireland and the US.
Claire holds a BA (Hons) in Business and Economics from Trinity College Dublin and is an accredited member of Chartered Accountants Ireland (ACA).
